I come from a musical family, my grandfather Padmashree Prof Ram Panjwani was a very good singer, poet, actor and a pious soul. My parents were very close to Jagjit ji and Bhupender Ji and that gave me an opportunity to get exposed to them from a very early age. I had a very good ear for music and won a lot of school and inter collegiate singing competitions. I focused on education and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Pune university, got a masters degree in Chem Engg and have been in the US since 1990. I live in collegeville, PA with my wife and have a son and a daughter. I am a Pharmaceutical executive and have been working in the pharma industry for over 30 years. As music has always been my passion, i have been learning hindustani classical music and have had a few gurus over the years. I am currently learning classical music from Nishad Vora, a upcoming young classical singer from Pune and is from the Rajan/Sajan Mishra gharana. Last year I participated in the "I sing like kishore" competition and was the winner. I am quite active on you tube and post a lot of bollywood songs and ghazals.
