Rang-e-Mohabbat male artist seated on stage setup

Music, to me, is roohani and divine—it connects to my soul and brings me profound peace. Singing ghazals in my own andaaz feels like meditation, a space where every note becomes a prayer (Duaa) and every word finds its true meaning. I have been deeply blessed to personally know legends such as Pankaj Udhas ji, Jagjit Singh ji, and Bhupinder Singh ji, and though they may have physically left this world, their immortal gems continue to echo through the universe and forever in my heart. My bond with Jagjit ji was especially precious; the highlight of my musical journey remains a six-hour, in-person session at his Mumbai home, filled with pure music, harmonium, and his warmth. A love for good shayari has always accompanied my passion for singing, giving me a deeper understanding of Urdu—its sher, ghazals, shayari, and nazms. Growing up in Bhopal, with its unique blend of Urdu and Hindi, further shaped my sensibilities and nurtured my inspiration to write. In today’s world, I feel fortunate to remain connected with incredible artists such as Ashok Khosla ji, Jaswinder Singh, Kuldeep ji, Jazim Sharma, Abhijeet Pohankar, and many others who continue to inspire me to grow as a singer. Professionally, I have spent several decades in the IT industry, earning a Master’s degree in Project Management and becoming an SPC 6 Agile Coach, focusing on enterprise-level Agile transformations. I reside in the United States with my mother, wife, daughter, and our beloved pup, Om, and I am deeply grateful to my mentor, Kinshuk Shrivastava ji, whose guidance constantly refines my singing; her words, “I don’t believe you have not received formal training,” remain one of the greatest compliments of my life. It is truly an honor to be part of the Rang-E-Mohabbat musical family and to share the stage with such exceptional artists, and the credit for bringing us together goes to Priyank Mohan, whose vision and dedication continue to create magic for all of us.
