She is a pharma research and development professional and currently works for a giant pharma corporate. She lives with her daughter in NJ, USA. She has grown up listening to multiple composers from her Dad esp “Bhalaa keejai bhalaa hogaa Buraa keejai buraa hogaa “. She lives by the same principle of karma. Music runs in her family where most of the family members pursue some kind of art be it dance, vocal or instrument. She has taken lessons under the affiliation of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya following Paluskar Paddhati. She started singing at Durga Pooja orchestra at a very early age. She was the lead singer of her school esp for Indian National anthem. She continues to learn Odishi dance. Being a voracious reader she utilizes her free time in painting , cooking , gardening other than listening to music.
